Qantas First Lounge Spring Menu Launch
In the First Lounges we change the menus with the seasons and mark each new menu with a launch – a kind of in depth briefing with our entire teams in Sydney and Melbourne. This gives us an opportunity to road-test and fine tune all that we have researched and developed in the months leading up to the change, as well as showcase the new dishes and discuss the ingredients and matching wines with our front of house staff. This is always fun, a great bonding exercise that is informative and interesting for all, including our guests who seem to enjoy listening and observing.
Some new favourites on the Spring menu include Crab, Avocado and Green Mango Salad with Shaved Fennel and Walnut Dressing; Farmhouse Terrine with Pickled Onions and Cornichons; John Dory with Slow Cooked Zucchini, Preserved Lemon and Capers; and Pork Schnitzel with Asian Slaw and Grain Mustard – just to name a few.
We have introduced a new range of gelato from Gelatomassi in Newtown which we thought might be fun leading in to the warmer months. We’ve also retained all the favourites including our Signature Burger with Bacon, Gruyere, Zuni Pickle and Tomato Chilli Relish; Club with Poached Chicken, Slow Roasted Tomatoes, Schulz Bacon and Aioli; and Salt and Pepper Squid with Green Chilli Sauce as we know how much you love them!
